I copy and pasted most of the above legal gibberish from another website. Most privacy policies are designed to cover a company's arse (legally) and do a piss poor job at disclosing to the visitor what they do with your personal data. So let me try and tell you as plainly as I can what I collect and plan to do with your data.
Types of data I collect and how I obtain it
When you visit this website, I ask you to subscribe if you find the content helpful. Subscribers get access to exclusive content which non-subscribers can't access.
I have Google Analytics configured on my site which doesn't capture any personal information. The data in Google Analytics is aggregated and anonymised.
How I use data
I sometimes look at the reports in Google Analytics to work out which content is resonating with my readers like you.
I'm not building any audience segments or furiously trying to work out which channel drove the most engagement. I help my friends in marketing do that in my day job and I don't have any world-conquering ambitions for this website to merit that kind of effort.
Occasionally, I may send you an email. There won't be a cadence to this because I am not writing a newsletter. When I send you an email it will be most likely for one of two reasons:
- I need your help or input to make this website better
- There's something I genuinely believe will help you, so I've decided to broadcast it
How I share data
I don't share or sell your data or any other data for that matter from this website. Who would want to buy that stuff anyway?
If you still have any questions, DM me on LinkedIn. I'll try not to be a pissed-off bastard when I get back to you.
